An internship is an opportunity to absorb as much information as possible through a hands-on experience. Before starting, an intern should confirm their schedule and ask about specifics such as dress code and where to park. During the first two weeks, an intern should make a habit of arriving early and take in the work environment. Making final clarifications, an intern should meet with their supervisor to discuss their responsibilities and expectations. An intern should strive to appear and act professional and maintain a positive attitude. In order to benefit from experience, an intern should immerse themselves by seeking opportunities to learn and perform to the best of their ability even on small tasks. An intern should be sure to leave on a positive note by thanking their supervisor personally.
