JD Russo illuminated our tendency to become entirely indifferent - to lack the emotion to care. We have hardly any concern for others who possess opposing values from ourselves. He believes technology is to blame as information is so readily available to us that we think there is no need to communicate with others about current events or worldly issues. Hearing Russo say this has motivated me to meet new people on my journey in my mentorship. I plan to take initiative, ask questions, and hold meaningful conversations. One incredible aspect of Milan Eye Center is that there are multiple doctors and surgeons all of which can educate me on the unique experiences they have had and I want to take full advantage of that in order to decrease my tendency to be indifferent.

Being interested in medicine means I am not only passionate about the science but also about helping people live their best lives. I want to lead people in improving each other's lives through selfless acts and helping hands no matter the differences that may stand between them.
